Their work hangs in museums and private collections worldwide. Embroiderers work at home and from a base at the DWT Nthathe Adult Education Centre with the Sisters of Mercy in the Winterveld, 40km northwest of Pretoria. Since 1991 the income has empowered the women, helped them feed and educate their children and improve their lives. Initiated by Pretoria
